You only have to be a minimum of two to book for a “Randonnée en liberté” and start your French experience. Whatever the destination, France Randonnée offers a selection of the best tours to share some unique moments with you.

Destination : you choose from the wide range on offer.

Walking and cycling tours : designed for at least 2 people, small groups or families. We will provide you with all the useful information you will need before you leave.

Departure : all you have to do is choose the date when you want to go. Our team will then organize your holiday for you. No need to worry about planning and hotel bookings.

Comfort : every night there will be a hotel room or a “chambre d’hôtes” (B&B) waiting for you, as well as a charming traditional dinner.

Luggage : will be forwarded from your accommodation to the next every day.

This is how most of our “Randonnées en liberté” are organized. However, for some destinations there might be some slight changes. Do not hesitate to contact us for more details.

How does it work ?

The “trip-folder”

Once your trip has been booked, we will provide you with a folder that comprises of :

• A general map of the whole region
• A colour map of each daily itinerary (1:25 000)
• A description of each stage along with useful information such as distances, places of interest, etc. For some ouf our tours, a description in English is available.
• Accommodation vouchers for every hotel / B&B
• A tourist guide of the region (in your language, according to availability)
• A map-carrier or a compass
• Labels for your luggage
• Any other useful tourist information

This folder will be sent to you once we process the last payment of your trip. If your payment occurs less than 21 days before departure, we will send it to your first hotel or B&B. For people whose residence is abroad, the folder will be sent directly to the first hotel or B&B.

Luggage

Unless stated differently transfer of luggage is included in the price. But please note that for some of our circuits this will be available only on request (with an extra cost).
You are allowed a maximum of 2 reasonable size bags or cases. You remain responsible for your luggage during the whole trip and we recommend they do not contain any fragile belongings or valuables.

Prices

Prices shown are to be taken as prices from the day and place the tour starts until the day and place it finishes.
For hotels and B&Bs prices are per person for two people sharing a double room. Single bedrooms may also be available with an extra charge.
Prices do not include drinks or lunches for which you can choose between a picnic or a restaurant. It is always possible to ask your host the day before you leave to prepare a picnic for you. You can get the detail of what is included in each tour under the heading “Prestations”.

Getting there and coming back

Prices do not include your journey to and from your destination. Our tours are usually easily accessible either by train or coach. If you come by car, you can normally leave it at the car park of your first accommodation. Most of the tours are “loops”. If not, there will be a possibility for you to go back to starting point.

Physical condition

Hiking or cycling implies being able to cover a fairly long distance distance each day. However these are not “forced marches” and you can go at your own speed as you are here to discover and enjoy the regions. You will have to be in a good physical condition and the level required for each walk is to be found under the heading “Niveau”.

And despite a dramatic improvement in our capacity to speak English, if you do not speak any French at all, we will ask you to contact us in writing via fax or email.
